Kandahar: reconstruction of a destroyed bridge in Arghandab has started

The reconstruction of a bridge namely “Sarkari Bagh Bridge” resumed located in the Arghandab district of Kandahar province, which was blown up as a result of a vehicle explosion carried out by the Taliban militia on the 24th of March, 2021.

According to the Ministry of Public Works, the upper-mention Bridge is 172 meters long and 10 meters wide, and at least 40 meters part of that have been destroyed due to the explosion.

After a technical assessment and financial provision stages, the reconstruction of the destroyed part of the bridge began, which will be completed in due time and the transportation problems of the residents of Arghandab district will be solved.
