Minister Yamin meets with Iranian delegation of road sector

Kabul - Minister of Public Works Eng. Najibullah Yamin met with a delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in his office and talked over regional bilateral opportunities.

The delegation was led by Sayed Hussain Mir Shafi, advisor and special representative of the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed several important projects and share opportunities for regional connectivities between Afghanistan and the Republic of Iran.

Mir Shafi, the Special Representative of the MRUD of Iran, said that his country is eagerly ready to invest in the transport infrastructure sector of Afghanistan.

Both sides discussed the construction and rehabilitation of the Melak Abresham Bridge, Abu Nasr Farahi road, and the road of Dogharun - Islam Qala, which are going to be funded by the Republic of Iran, after an official bilateral agreement.

Minister of Public Works considered Iran as one of the neighboring countries that have an important role in regional connectivity.
