Deputy Minister of Protection & Maintenance visited Mazar-e-Sharif Ring Road

After the residents of Mazar-e-Sharif city express their dissatisfaction regarding the work quality of the Ring Road project via social media, Deputy Minister of Protection & Maintenance of MoPW made a visit to the City of Mazar-e-Sharif, on Wednesday.

During the site visit, the Deputy Minister MR. Anwari assigned a special team to investigate the reported errors of the ongoing Ring Road project and then submit their final quality assurance report with the leadership of MoPW, here in Kabul.

Meanwhile, Eng. Payenda Mohammad Anwari visited the provincial department of MRRD/NRAP (National Rural Roads Program) to officially transfer the program into the provincial department of MoPW in Balkh, which was jointly run by the ministries of MRRD and MoPW all over the country.

The decision of the NRAP’s transmission to merge with the Ministry of Public Works was recently made by the order of His Excellency the President.

Through the NRAP program, eight projects of rural roads are currently underway in Balkh and the neighboring Faryab province, two of those have already been completed and the remaining six projects are going to be complete in the near future too.
