Meeting of the Acting Deputy Minister of Technical Affairs of the Ministry of Public Works with the President of the World Food Program in Afghanistan and the UN Special Representative for Afghanistan

Sayed Idris Mir, Acting Deputy Minister of Public Works, met with Ms. Mary Allen, Director of the World Food Program (WFP) in Afghanistan, and Dr. Rams Al-Akbarov, Deputy UN Special Representative for Afghanistan.

First, the Acting Deputy Minister thanked from the assistance of the World Food Program in Afghanistan and requested for the continuous of such cooperation to Afghanistan in future.

In this meeting, the technical team of the Ministry of Public Works gave a presentation on the country's transportation routes, maintenance of highways, roads and keeping them open in winter and solving people's problems.

The two sides also spoke about strength and expansion for better relations to provide timely humanitarian assistance to the people of Afghanistan. Meanwhile  Ms. Mary Allen and Mr. Al-Akbarov promised future cooperation and coordination.

At the end of the meeting, it was decided to conduct such meetings in future for further coordination and cooperation of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan.
