Takhar: The RCC Bridge in Asfanj village ready to inaugurate
Takhar: An RCC concrete bridge with a length of 72 meters length and 380 meters gravel road that’s located in Asfanj village of Chal district of Takhar province, is 100% completed and ready for operation.
The construction of the bridge was contracted between the Ministry of Public Works and a private construction company, which was funded by the Government of Afghanistan.
During the construction of this project, some 51792 working days were created for the local residents and with the completion of this bridge, the villages of Sang-e-Safid, Yaka Pasta, Asfanj, Dahna, Mandara, Khakdara, Qala-e-Mirsolan, and Bazarak will become more connected, indeed.
It will also provide access to some 80,000 residents of Gozargah Noor, Farang, and Khost districts of Baghlan province and the rest of the region of safe travel in all seasons of the year.
It is noteworthy that before the construction of this new bridge over the sea, there were many temporary wooden bridges in several locations that were being destroyed during the flooding season and made it impossible for residents on both sides of the sea to cross over the sea for several months of the year.
